Designing Your Cake

No matter the celebration, at Jarosch Bakery we work with you to design an outstanding cake from flavor to finish that will delight all your guests.

Cake Options: The Right Size

Whether you are feeding 8 people or 80, we have a multitude of options to fit your needs. When deciding on a size, bear in mind our cake servings are liberally estimated so you’ll get more slices if your guests want “just a sliver.”

Round Cakes have multiple layers of cake and fillings while Sheet Cakes have two layers of cake and one layer of filling, making sheet cakes a bit easier to cut and serve. If you prefer extra layers of flavor combinations, we recommend a round size, but a third layer of cake and second layer of filling are available for sheet cakes at an additional cost.

Cake Options: Fresh Flavors

Experience the difference freshness makes when you order a specialty cake from Jarosch Bakery. Each of our delicate doughs is light, fluffy, and fork tender, containing no additives or preservatives. We follow Grandpa’s original recipes, using the highest quality ingredients in our cakes including eggs, milk, sugar, cake flour, and vegetable shortening. Check out our cake options:

  • Yellow: this buttery and moist cake has a hint of lemon to brighten the flavor, making yellow one of our most popular doughs
  • Devil’s Food: Not too dark, this chocolate cake is light and tender
  • Half & Half: Can’t decide between yellow and chocolate? Get a layer of each!
  • White: firm dough with a pure vanilla taste
  • Marble: white & devil’s food cake batters swirled together for a random blend of vanilla and chocolate
  • Banana: real mashed bananas mixed into the batter create an authentic, moist banana dough
  • Graham Cracker: adding graham crumbs and a touch of honey to the mix develop a warm, slightly sweet taste
  • Carrot: ground carrots, chopped pecans, crushed pineapple, and a dash of spice combine for a traditional flavor
  • Angel Food: made with whipped egg whites and no yolks, this dough is very light and fluffy
  • German Chocolate: a little sweeter with a lighter chocolate flavor than devil’s food
  • Red Velvet: moist, reddish colored cake with notes of chocolate

Cake Options: Fillings

When choosing your flavors, please note that cakes with Basic, Preserve, and Flavor Blend fillings are the easiest to cut and serve. We recommend a long, sharp, clean serrated knife and to avoid cutting thin slices. Even if this doesn’t work— don’t worry— the taste is great, and you’ve now created a trifle-like dessert.

Our two layer sheet cakes have 1 filling layer, three layer sheet cakes have 2 filling layers, and round cakes have 2-3 filling layers. See our filling options below:

Substitutions are available so please inquire about alternatives if you have allergy or taste concerns.
